Coorg Arabica

Coorg Arabica coffee beans from the misty estates of Kodagu

About Coorg Arabica

Kodagu — known affectionately as Coorg — sits in the Western Ghats of Karnataka at elevations between 1,000 and 1,500 metres. The combination of misty mornings, rich laterite soil, and hand-picking at peak ripeness produces Arabica beans with an exceptionally clean, bright cup.

Our Coorg Arabica is washed-processed, which strips away the fruit layer quickly after harvest and lets the bean’s inherent clarity shine through. Expect a light-medium body, a lively acidity, and layered flavour notes of jasmine, bergamot, and a lingering citrus finish.

Sourcing & sustainability

Every lot comes from small family estates in and around the Madikeri and Virajpet taluks. Farmers are paid above Fair Trade floor prices, and the estates follow shade-grown practices that protect the native flora of the Western Ghats biodiversity hotspot.

Storage

Store in an airtight container away from light and heat. Whole beans stay fresh for up to 30 days; once ground, use within 7 days for the best flavour.
